This is the smallest of two bedrooms and when I say small.. I mean small. You’d actually struggle to comfortably fit a bed and anything else in here! The ‘bed’ made-up is actually a blow-up mattress. If you’ve ever slept on these, you’ll know how unrealistically small they are. Still, it gives the illusion of much larger space right?
We don’t really have a landing as such, this is as much of a ‘landing’ we have once you reach the top of the stairs. This room is the one on the left.
We actually don’t use this room for anything other than storage. Sometimes we have people stay and we throw them in here on the blow-up mattress. But it’s not nearly often enough for us to actually care about having a “guest room”. And in honestly, the only guests we have had are drunken ones and I don’t think they minded the lack of guest-comfort one bit. But we chose to stick a blow-up mattress in there just to show potential buyers how it could kind-of resemble a room….
It’s actually an L-Shape room, and behind the door is where the storage part comes in…
Tools, suitcases, boxes filled with things I can’t bare to get rid of. There’s a whole box of Barbies in there somewhere.. and a box of books from High School. OK so it’s pretty much all my stuff… Guilty.
We tried to add some homeliness with the wall-picture and some cushions. That’s an electric heater by the way…. they’re fabulous. No, no they’re not.
I bought that TV-stand off eBay for £5! Bargain. Lots of old N64 games from there too. The door on the left is the airing cupboard (strange place I know, but it’s a small house!).
Yeah so we kinda use this space as a shed with lots of DIY tools at the top. Hopefully we’ll have an actual shed some day and have a usable second bedroom!
