How to Make Microwave Pancakes!

February 21, 2015 - No Comments - 1 min read
Since we don’t have any hobs, this Shrove Tuesday we were unable to make pancakes the traditional way.. But that certainly didn’t stop us! I suggested we try to make them in the microwave, since microwaves seem to be able to cook almost anything else, I figured it was worth a shot. Low and beyond, our microwave pancakes!
Everyone has their own pancake recipe it would seem; ours is pretty basic.. Flour, Eggs, Milk – and our measurements are often eyeballed since we’re lazy with getting out the scales. Besides, you really can’t go too wrong with pancake mixture. We’re making American style pancakes so we’re using a bowl to cook our mixture in to make our pancakes thicker. If you want crepe style, you can use a plate (we tried this too!). We oiled the bowl we intended on microwaving the pancakes in, and poured an amount of mixture into it.

Do bear in mind, as these pancakes aren’t being fried they won’t turn brown.
1 minute in the microwave, flip it over, add another minute and voila…

Microwave-Pancakes!
Hope you all had a delicious shrove Tuesday 🙂
